Engelbert Opens Showroom in Beverly Hills

Located on a quiet, tree-lined street in the heart of the city, the private, second-floor space offers an intimate introduction to the world of the Swedish house.

Founded in Stockholm in 1920, Engelbert is a fourth-generation, family-owned house rooted in exceptional craftsmanship and timeless design. Long beloved across Scandinavia and internationally for its bold aesthetic and effortless elegance, Engelbert now brings its distinctive vision to Los Angeles.

The showroom is conceived as an extension of the world of Oscar and Giovanna Engelbert —
welcoming, intimate, and richly layered with meaning. Designed by Oscar, the space is furnished with pieces from their personal collection, reflecting years of living with objects they love. Each element is thoughtfully chosen, not only for its beauty, but for the sentiment and story it carries.

“The whole space is really about mixing different ingredients we love: there’s something Swedish and Japanese in the restraint, a sense of composition that feels almost French, and then unexpected elements — collected pieces, textures, objects — that create a layered, intimate atmosphere,” said Giovanna Engelbert. “We wanted to do Los Angeles in our own way — not in a typical way, but in a way that feels personal, warm, and true to how we live.”

Among the collected works are a Philippe Hiquily table, a Jean Lurçat tapestry, vintage ceramics by Wilhelm Kåge, ikebana baskets from Japan, and pewter objects by Estrid Ericson.

Also presented for the first time is a series of Giovanna Engelbert’s drawings—abstract faces rendered on gilded paper, inspired by Italian iconography and American pop culture, each adorned with Engelbert jewellery.

“I’ve been drawing these faces for a long time, always as part of my private world — something very personal that lived at home. Because this space is conceived as an extension of our home, it felt completely natural to bring them into the showroom and show them publicly for the first time.” — Giovanna Engelbert

The showroom also introduces an exclusive capsule of signature designs, including the iconic Legacy Knot Collection reimagined with black diamonds.
